USA South Men's Golf History

The USA South began sponsoring men's golf championships in 1964, with St. Andrews winning the first-ever league team title. Methodist has dominated the league, winning 26 team titles since 1976. Greensboro has eight team titles since 1974. The Conference has had a proud tradition of men's golf success on the national level as well. Most notably has been the Methodist program, which has won nine NCAA Division III team titles and another nine individual titles.  Greensboro won its first national title in 2000, the same year in which it claimed it's first individual title. Averett won its first national team and individual titles in 2003. In 1995, the Dixie Conference was the first league to advance four teams from the same league to the NCAA Division III National Tournament.
